Our favourite month of the year is April – Earth month! During the month of April Green Butterfly hosts the annual Mother Earth Festival at the Aburi Botanical Gardens. This weekend-long event happening on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April features the Green Butterfly Market along with other eco-friendly activities.

If you’d like to donate some gently used items to our thrift tent please contact us or bring them to the next Green Butterfly market on 20th April at the Department of Parks and Gardens in Cantonments. Ask for the Green Butterfly stand and deliver your items there. Items accepted are: clothing, accessories, toys, crafts, decorations and antique items.

Another exciting activity happening during the festival is our PLANT SWAP event. Bring a plant and take a plant home. Let’s encourage each other to improve the biodiversity in our gardens and to plant more.
